Seriously Thin and Surprisingly Light
A standard TTF metal topper measures approximately 0.55 mm through the main body and 1.55 mm where the magnets sit. That low profile helps it sit close to your frames instead of creating unnecessary bulk around your field of vision.
A typical resin-finished topper weighs about 3.4 grams, depending on frame shape and options. Each precision-placed magnet has a rated pull force of more than 300 grams under its specified test conditions.
Pull-force ratings describe the magnet component under defined conditions. Alignment, contact, small gaps, the base frame, and the direction of movement all affect real-world hold and removal.

One of the first questions people have about magnetic toppers is completely understandable: how well do they actually stay on?
We use strong, precision-placed magnets to give our lightweight metal toppers a secure connection to compatible magnetic frames during normal everyday wear.
Put those numbers into perspective: each individual magnet has a rated pull force of more than 300 grams , while an entire resin-finished topper typically weighs only about 3.4 grams.
Does that mean it takes 300 grams of force to remove a topper?
No. Rated magnet pull force is measured under specific test conditions. Real-world holding strength is affected by alignment, contact, the base frame, small gaps, and the direction of movement. The rating helps explain how such tiny magnets can provide a strong connection without requiring glue dots or any adjusting.
A properly fitted topper should stay securely attached during normal everyday wear. Like any magnetic eyewear accessory, direct contact or enough force can dislodge it.
